yes I started an Ubuntu Lounge - care to pop in while you're on line
sometime and share experiences or issues 

umm, I'd like to post 

"Ubuntu sounds like a good way of getting a Debian flavour onto a
machine
whilst having an awesome collection of Python tools as part of the
standard
install (or so I hear). I've got Suse 9.1 Pro and Win XP on a lappie
(NEC
Versa Aptitude) and would be happy to overwrite the Suse partition with
Ubuntu, as I want Python on it and it's a painful process via Suse.
