Hi Phil, I'd try and trek north if it was more than just tea, coffee and nibbles :P (despite you all being nice people). Ubuntu sounds like a good way of getting a Debian flavour onto a machine whilst having an awesome collection of Python tools as part of the standard install (or so I hear). I've got Suse 9.1 Pro and Win XP on a lappie (NEC Versa Aptitude) and would be happy to overwrite the Suse partition with Ubuntu, as I want Python on it and it's a painful process via Suse. Dunno, just a thought. Anytime is good for me. Cheers, Will PS: Give Troy a hug for me :). > > Hi all > would any one like to have a meeting for april - > it would be nice to catch up with you all. > > topic - pick one - or tea coffee and a chat. > i have various late distros here ( ubantu installed on a machine so you > could have a play with that -or not) > or we can install something else on a spare machine just a matter of > finding a good old drive but have a few of those ! > -- > Regards > Phil Workman > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > To remove yourself from this list, email wailug-request at linux.net.nz > with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message. > > --- > Incoming mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.784 / Virus Database: 530 - Release Date: 27/10/2004 > --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
