At the moment I am rostered to work both those evenings so will see if I
can change. I have messed up with Software Package Manager. Was trying
to configure it (after reading a tutorial on line) and added a download
site for updates. It said to wait, so I waited about twenty minutes,
and nothing seemed to be happening and I needed to get to bed. It was
late. Tried to close the darned thing by clicking on the 'x', but it
didn't respond, so I closed internet connection and closed everything
and logged out. Next time I looked at the Package Manager it has
unreadable symbols instead of words!! Gimp has always done the same.
Also I have a spare 2Gb hard drive and thought I'd like to try
installing Mandrake 9 to it since I have the new CDROM! The only thing
stopping me is the fact I messed up Grub when I installed RedHat a while
ago now, and couldn't get into Windows. Mandrake uses Lilo, but is
there anything special I'll need to do to make sure I can get into
Windows and both Mandrakes - assuming the install goes okay? I thought
it would be good practice.

Thanks
Rose
