Hi Blair
thankyou for that - btw  i have debain running on a couple of 
machines now - network install is so good

i will migrate my desktop machine to be our server after i have 
worked out all of the bits i need to on this box
- runs quite good on a slower machine

i love apt-get - great tool 

Thanks again for your help - i must be tired missing the command 
but there is nothing like seeing an example

( off to the neighbours to see if his dsl modem suports linux - hope to 
help him set up firewall box - router for his network) - need to run a 
cable or get dsl for me
