[wailug] scsi card

Hi all 
	I have an hp scsi scanner and a zip drive that i would like to work with linux
i also have a buslogic rt930r scsi card
	 i can get the zip drive to work no probs

i suspect that the scsi driver is not to good 

i have had the scanner working with nicks scsi card (ncr chipset  i think)
any ideas where i start - or do i buy a differrent card .?? (ha) suggestions welcome
Btw works in windows of course -
