For the telephone to work, you and I both have to have free time, at the
same time.  I'm not in the same time zone as my rellies at the moment.  It's
much more convenient for me to compose a communique at a time suitable to
me, and it can be read whenever they have a free moment - not when *I*
insist.

I appreciate your rant, but maybe it's time you moved on?  Or if you do see
my point, but really do want to regress, I hear there's this thing called
the postal system.
