Hah! I left off MS-Office - $300 for office-pro isn't it? So my estimate
has hit $1100 ani iirc the guys business doesn't use av because the
salesman said it wasn't needed with vista.

Yeah: "my boss provides it so it's free" is strikingly naive - but I
suppose it is also naive to suggest that the money may otherwise have
been spent productively (or, on employees).

Still, I tell people: imagine, you could have a computer for $xy00
less... or, a much better computer for the same price.
