Those costs are not exaggerated at all.
for business users, you can expect to be hit up for:
1. OS cost, be it XP/vista
2. the CAL for server usage
3. ms-office licensing
4. whichever antivirus solution they use, be it Avast, CA, etc
all up, just for 1's and 0's, a business is looking at $1000+ before
even purchasing any hardware, per user.
