Not really my area of specialty, but there is a lot of traffic on the
ALSA-devel list relating to laptop specific configuration of mic or
headphone etc.  Various quirks get added as they are discovered.

I don't have time to wade through all that, but you may discover that
the latest ALSA version contains a fix, or help in getting such a fix made.
