[nzlug] mail server recommendations

Distribution wise, if you don't want to be doing upgrades every year,
I'd say Ubuntu LTS release.

As for which programs, all I can say is my recomendations:
SMTP: Exim+Exim-SA+Spam Assassin+ClamAV
POP3/IMAP: dovecot - very very fast, highly reliable, and very secure.
Webmail: I use Roundcube, I'm not totally happy with it, I don't like
the whole double click stuff, but it does work, and it doesn't require
setting up an SQL server just for it. it works with Dovecot well.

Personally, I'd be pushing people to use IMAP rather than POP3. When you
point out they can have their email on multiple different PCs without
problem, they are happy. Offline IMAP means that they can still get
their email without having to "dialup".
