I think the question here is - how to get openSUSE 10.3 to join a
windows work group and so access its shares.

Attempting to enable the services smb and smbfs in YaST had mixed
results... smb worked, smbfs returns the above (subject line) error. 

Google returns lots of pages about configuring security, but none on
this error.

This is a default install with Gnome and no fiddling.

Clues will be most welcome.
