Hi Roland :)

I've been running 64 bit for at least a couple of years and never really 
had a problem that couldn't be solved.  Flash, Skype (with video), 
NVidia drivers and all the other proprietary stuff that I originally had 
to put workarounds in place for just work these days with Debian/Ubuntu 
(and I'm sure the other main distros too).

You might find some pretty obscure hardware that doesn't work easily, 
but most can be forced into a 32bit emulation.

That extra "2%" performance gain with 64bit is definitely worth it... ;)
