ahhh I see. Would you mind posting a short piece of the raw video
somewhere? I'd like to have a play.

that sort of cameras often uses mjpeg video codec, in which each frame
is a jpeg image. Very easy for a camera that already does jpeg to
acheive.

anyway, if you have a sample, I'd be happy to play with it.
