We buy (disclosure: and resell) Intel and Asus mobos from a Christchurch 
wholesaler: Insite Technologies in Montreal St.  See http://insite.co.nz

They also do OS-less desktops, white-box Asus laptops, and servers, 
fwiw.  We've found them good to work with.
