This is off beat but really interesting :-)

 

Good news about domain names, the guy over at Web Drive, Daniel Williams
(Owner of Web Drive) who also owns the web site brand
http://www.domains4less.co.nz/ has now gone a step further and added another
lower cost domain supplier http://www.domainsdirect.co.nz/

He is selling these domain names for $18.95 per year! I know cost is $18 per
year, either this guy is really nice, or, as you can see in the footer, it
says "DomainsDirect is not associated with Hosting Direct." I assume he is
playing a price game with Hosting Direct. I think he can keep playing with
himself on this one, we are not trying to put other ISP's out of the domain
business like Daniel is.

 

Other interesting things are, this web site was made today, so I don't
expect any marketing from them I assume, They are not offering these prices
on Web Drive, Domains4Less or to web drive clients or for existing renewal
clients, so I seriously question Daniels business ethic, I assume it's just
setup to halt our market advances.

 

Anyone think we should complain to the DNC, or should we use it as a tool
for cheep .nz domain names.

Keep an eye of the site, I assume it may disappear or something of the like
now this is going around.

 

Interested in hearing anyone's thoughts.
