[nzlug] Broadband bandwidth drop: WTF?

The reason connections are specified in bits comes from back in the days
where they were literally measured in bits per second, sometimes as low
as 300bps, In short, while it creates a lot of confusion nowadays, it
makes sense when compared to older connections. If it works, why change it.
