No, Red Hat is what businesses buy, not what's best for business. Red
Hat have the advantage of offering support contracts, managers like
them. Also, since it has a nice big company backing it the non-OSS
crowd tend to support it.

I'd recommend Debian Stable for any critical servers. Ubuntu LTS if
you can't get the packages you need in Debian. Both are pretty good
and well supported. I wouldn't recommend Red Hat to anyone, but
apparently it's better these days.

My server runs Ubuntu. I used to use Gentoo on some oddball hardware,
but unless you enjoy bleeding edge stuff I wouldn't recommend it.
