i would not recommend that.
the eeePC is to small for convenient use unless the formfactor is part
of the convenience you need. it's not something i'd recommend for a
beginner or an older person. 

hopefully someone ports the eeePC interface to a regular distribution.
(should not take much, other than licensing concerns and maybe a need to
adjust the desigh for higher resolutions. (the resolution is the eeePCs
weakest point))
