[nzlug] Grannix? Looking for a simple distro with Icon based menu like eeePC

After playing with an eeePC I thought there must be a distro around 
preconfigured to start up with a simple 'large icon' based program 
selection structure.

I'm looking for a solution for a older person who would like to use 
email/skype and a couple of other things but the fast startup, and 
simple structure of the eeePC menus would make it so much easier to use.

I'm not ready to plonk $600 on the eeePC for her yet (I have spare 
laptops of similar spec), but may do if I can't find anything suitable.

I know one could be made from most of the modern window managers, but 
anyone know of something pre existing?

Does the Xandros OS with the eeePC install on other hardware easily?  I 
can't find any mention of this on the eeePC user wikis etc.  Also, I can 
only see the source code on the Asus site, not an installable ISO.

Yes, I'd call it Grannix if I were to compile this distro myself... ;)
