The plot thickens. The content of the /etc/pam.d/common* files keep
changing on reboot.

I wonder if this is a mirror sync issue, since I edited the files on the
independant mirrors whilst in knoppix?

Should I remove one mirror, fix the login issue, them rebuild the RAID?

An if so, any pointers on the using the RAID admin tools would again be
appreciated.

I appreciate the help to date.
