Hi Roland

Grub will likely be set up with single user mode as a line item for 
selection.  No need to edit any grub entry just arrow down to the 
correct line. At least my Ubuntu setup is like that.... so I assume your 
'k' version is too.

You'll likely have to press 'esc' to get into the grub selection menu 
though if you don't normally see it on boot.
