Why are you using that much swap? Firstly, if you are swapping a lot you 
probably need more RAM, and the recommendation is RAM size == SWAP size, 
isn't it?

I have 1GB RAM and a 2GB swap of which I only use a few MB:

However I don't load the machine very heavily.
