The default hardy madwifi drives work not - probably the outstanding
"card misidentifies itself" bug. However, there is a solution which
works nicely - I'll be adding notes to:
http://www.hbclinux.net.nz/acer4315-804.html
Caveat: I *did not* use the "upgrade" option. The reason for this was to
eliminate any possibility of acer-messed configuration in there.
Most of the issues on my list are fixed *out of the box*. The only
remaining issue is suspend - it still reboots instead. Hibernate works
though. Soft restart too.
I have 4gig of swap (and 1gig RAM), that should be enough for swap,
right? (OTOH: Acer did 4.2gig for 0.5gig RAM - maybe I should go to 8gig
swap?)
