[nzlug] Virtual OS's and MAC's

I understand that each virtual OS has it's own virtual NIC MAC. Is this
done only internally or are the virtual MAC's presented to the internet.

I'm thinking in terms of a wireless network with MAC filtering as the
primary intrusion protection.
