On the other hand, vmware is a pain in the neck in a non-production
environment at the moment. By not supporting the 2.6.24 kernel without a
sequence of patching, it's hardly out of the box usable. Reason #432 why I
avoid non-free software as much as possible: up-to-dateness tends to suck.
(sorry, lost 3 or 4 hours the other day to figuring this one out. Turns out
once you've compiled, patched, compiled, you need to compile again before it
all works)
Whereas with virtualbox, on Hardy it's pulling in a kernel that isn't properly
out yet, so it's ahead of its time ;)
