Wow - that was bloody well put.

:-)

But... and a very tiny point, 'Hi' is considered in well-read circles  
as an American derived term of greeting, whereas the true Kiwi  
cultural term (for those that adhere to the British heritage and  
bemoan the over-influence of American pan-global culture) is 'Hello',  
'Gidday' or "G'Day".

We in the Taranaki were even reminded of this in an editorial in the  
Daily News newspaper only last week.
