Strange... have you guys been mixing repositories? If you have a
non-standard binaries running on standard ones, might be a binary
incompatibility issue. Aside from the Nvidia graphics, (I have yucky
onboard intel) my setup sounds pretty similar. Are you running 64 or
32 bit?
