I'm pretty much a newbie to networking myself, but these spring to mind:
/etc/hosts.allow
/etc/hosts.deny
/etc/resolv.conf
inetd.conf (allowed services to connect through network to local machine?)?
Is a firewall enabled on other machines that you are not aware of?
Is it possible to put ALL devices on same network settings?
I.e. all being of the 10.1.1.x IP addresses, or 192.168.0.x IP addresses?
HTH.
Elroy.
