[nzlug] SATA PCI cards on linux?

Nothing flash, but SiL3112 chipsets seem to JustWork.


I have a PCI-X hardware-RAID card available - 4-Port SATA-1 Intel 
SRCS14L - do a search on google with NZLUG/WLUG as search terms for the 
whole saga (make sure your machine is _solid_ before trying hardware 
RAID - may also pay to have an identical RAID card so your data isn't 
AWOL on a proprietary RAID array if/when the controller dies for any 
reason ;-) )
