Quite right, I do really need to see what he is seeing on the desktop. 
Part of the beauty with giving him a Debian desktop was, he knew nothing 
about pooters, and didn't need to learn much more than using a browser 
and email.  He sometimes wonders why his friends with another O/S have 
so many problems :)

I should be able to set something up to discover the IP.  Then it looks 
like I will be learning up on FreeNX.
