[nzlug] Wireless on Ubuntu Gutsy

Hi guys,

I've recently updated my work laptop from Ubuntu Feisty to Gutsy. Went
pretty smoothly. The built in wireless card is based on the broadcom
4312 chip, and I am using ndiswrapper as the bcm43xx module (with
fwcutter) seems not to work for me.

My laptop goes between home and work. Both locations have wireless
Internet using a 128 bit WEP key. Under Feisty, when I got to the new
location, the connection applet in the Gnome toolbar updated the list
of wireless networks. I could select the correct network, and it
connected.

However under Gutsy, the list of wireless networks does not update,
meaning that I need to reboot the machine in order to connect to the
other network.Ideally, I would like to not have to reboot the machine
twice a day!

Has anyone else experienced this, and know of a solution?
