[nzlug] OT: Maori accents in LaTeX?

Hi,

was just compiling the proceedings for our institute's post graduate
conference, and on the title page I wanted to include the institute's name
also in its Maori representation, as it is done on the front page on the web
[1]. As a European immigrant I do not know how important these accents over
some vowels are, but they seem to be typeset all over the place.

With LaTeX I can do pretty much everything except for brewing some more fresh
tea (which I will have to do soonish), but unfortunately Google was this time
not my friend in tracking down how to typeset these accented letters. It
would be preferable if I would not have to go back to using a math
environment for those letters ...

Any suggestions? Has anyone ever heard of or seen a suggestion for that? Or
pointers on where/how to search for it?

Guy
