Hi,

thanks for the quick answer. I do have that module, but it refuses to load:

linuxbox:/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi # modprobe
dpt_i2o
FATAL: Error inserting dpt_i2o
(/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi/dpt_i2o.ko): No such
device

lspci shows this:

linuxbox:/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi # lspci |grep
Adap
04:02.0 PCI bridge: Adaptec (formerly DPT) PCI Bridge (rev 02)
04:02.1 I2O: Adaptec (formerly DPT) SmartRAID V Controller (rev 02)

And dmesg this:

linuxbox:/lib/modules/2.6.18.8-0.1-bigsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi # dmesg
Loading Adaptec I2O RAID: Version 2.4 Build 5go
Detecting Adaptec I2O RAID controllers...
PCI: Unable to reserve mem region #1:2000000 at c4000000 for device 0000:04:02.1
dpti: adpt_config_hba: pci request region failed
Could not Init an I2O RAID device
Will not try to detect others.

??? Memory problem ???

Never seen anything like this before with other modules I loaded into the
kernel...

Cheers,
Raimund
