A bit off topic but mite be interesting to try.
If you bought a MS stained system and refused to accept the EULA as far as
the outside (MS fan world is concerned) you have been sold a non-functioning
laptop.
The retailer hasn't made you accept or even suggested anything about the
EULA prepurchase so at point of sale the buyer has no legal obligations.

So why not try to claim under the Consumer guarantees for compensation for a
non-functional laptop "ideal for personal use"
