Hi Simon,
I did this at home not to long ago.
I found the easiest way to do this was to install Firefox and
Thunderbird in the Windows side and allow them to import their settings
from the MS apps.
Then just to export in native Mozilla format (for both), or manually
copy the required files somewhere safe before doing the install.
Do the install and import the files again.
This just worked for me, but no guarantees. It might pay in your case,
once you've done the export from the Windows Mozilla tools, to load them
into blank profiles on a Linux machine somewhere just to ensure that it
is doable before going through and wiping the HDD.
