[nzlug] Livna repository for Fedora Core

I've been trying to use yum to get some updates from rpm.livna.org/
for Fedora Core 6.

First I tried rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-6.rpm as per
instructions I found here:

http://fedorasolved.org/post-install-solutions/yum-config

Nothing seems to happen. It's not possible to ping rpm.livna.org but
livna.org has a delay of only a bit more than what yahoo.com or
google.com have.

Going to http://livna.org/ brings up a page with minimal information
with a link to rpm.livna.org/ which, it's no surprise, does nothing
either.

Does anyone know what could be going on?

I found a mirror at http://mirror.atrpms.net/livna/fedora/6/x86_64/
which I gather will have the same rpms. I see there is something
called ivna-release-6-1.noarch.rpm. So I tried

rpm -Uvh http://mirror.atrpms.net/livna/fedora/6/x86_64/livna-release-6-1.noarch.rpm

to get an error like this:

error: skipping http://mirror.atrpms.net/livna/fedora/6/x86_64/livna-release-6-1.noarch.rpm -
transfer failed - Unknown or unexpected error
warning: _url_cache[0] 0x10b46c0 nrefs(1385470799) != 1 ( )

Is that likely to indicate it's my machine or what I'm trying to
connect to?

TIA
