[nzlug] Apt-proxy - anyone with any experience?

Restarting apt-proxy always seemed to temporarily fix it for me. But
given that the problem would be back after a few more packages, I gave
up on apt-proxy altogether. I had this problem with every version of
apt-proxy I used, for about a year. There's this bug report:
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=382078
but I'm don't think Siim Põder actually does have the same problem as
the original reporter (I never get "Error reading from server. Remote
end closed connection", and just running apt-get * again doesn't
work).

Still, that's somewhere you might like to post some debug output
Nevyn. As the maintainer says, put "debug = all:9" in the [DEFAULT]
section of the configuration file.

I would, but I've given up on apt-proxy. I'm now just using squid3,
with a large file size limit and plenty of caching space, setting up
the proxy in apt.conf, and then making sure the sources list is the
same between the machines I'm running.

Regards,
Dominic
