Win98 runs OK in qemu but it won't run with kqemu (the qemu acceleration 
kernel module).  You need to run it with the -no-kqemu option for it to 
work.  It runs adequately on a single-core P4, if you have a multi-core 
machine it should run pretty well.

You could mount the ME drive in Linux and run it from qemu by specifying 
the mount point when you run qemu.  If you run Debian/Ubuntu qemu is in 
the repository.

You might have to start ME in "safe mode" (hit F8 a few times when it's 
starting up), I'm not sure how it handles having hardware (or virtual 
hardware at least) changed out from under it.
