[nzlug] Distribution recommendations

Hi,

I want to be able to run Linux - simply for a word processor - on an
old clam shell mac. However, the screen resolution is too low for any
of the Window managers I've tried. I.e. parts of windows disappear at
the bottom of the screen - making the ever so important "Okay" button
invisible and the like.

Does anyone know of a distro or a window manager (of course it'd have
to have a powerpc offering) that would work on this thing? and perhaps
a recommendation of a word processor?
