[nzlug] Ubuntu 7.04 LiveCD on Dell hardware

A slightly disappointing Ubuntu 7.04 experience ...

I have a bunch of Dell machines here (poweredge 700s, optiplex
gx260s), than all boot the current LiveCD correctly.

Then I connected an old Quantum Fireball 2GB hard drive to the IDE ...

Now the LiveCD starts the boot process, but fails and drops back to
the initfs BusyBox prompt, which is basically useless ...

I've tried all the usual - it's not the IDE jumper settings, or
position on the cable; all handily disproved because when I boot with
a different Linux (specifically, Voyage; or last time I did this with
a 6.06 CD) it all works fine.

I don't have a lot of time for testing this, but I'd be interested to
know if anyone else has seen something like this; or recommendations
of how to describe the fault to Launchpad.
