Sure but how many of those DEBs are you ever going to install again?

Squid works great at the sort of access patterns we throw at it -- lots of
machines running the same Debian (servers) or Ubuntu (desktops) version
pulling down updates within a few days of each other.

Still, you *could* always throw a 750GB hard drive at the problem... :-)
