[nzlug] xorg configuration

Hi,

My system is Kubuntu Edgy.

I'm running an nvidia TNT64 video card with the legacy drivers provided
in the Universe/Multiverse repositories.

No problems, every time my PC boots I get the nvidia splash.

However, in order to get glx working I have to manually add 'option' to
the "Device" section as follows:

Section "Device"
  identifier "NVIDIA Corporation NV5M64 [RIVA TNT2 .....<cut to fit>
  busid "PCI:1:0:0"
  driver "nvidia"
  option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "1"
  screen 0
EndSection

Then, in order for the screen savers to work I have to enable power
saving on the monitor.

This is all good, but my PC gets turned off at night, and all these
changes are lost once the machine is powered up again.

I thought if I manually edited the xorg.conf file it wouldn't get
re-written.

Is there a way to solve this, as it's getting a little tiresome :-).
