I have a slightly different use case: I can't convert the winbox at work
to a losebox because the professional software on it is unavailable in
Linux. So I get a Linux box too. Cool if at least my email was the same
on both machines, which I managed by turning off "global mail store" in
thunderbird (why the heck do they call it global when it's always the
local disk?) and putting the store on a network drive which can be
mounted on Linux. Similar config on Linux. But the addressbook is
different (and probably a few other things too). And TB on Linux can't
handle checking for new mail, sure there's a button for it but clicking
on the desktop background is equally effective. Kbiff is great...
