Also being aware that the profiles created by Mozilla applications are 
transportable between OSes - that is, you can simply copy the directories 
between Windows, Linux and the BSDs (and I've done precisely this) and it 
"just works"[TM]. Not exactly elegant, but it's by far the simplest way of 
doing things.
