Webmin is best installed from the latest rpm/deb package available on
the Sourceforge site:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/webadmin/
As it is just a bunch of perl scripts installation is fairly painless
with system detection and configuration being fairly automatic.
Given its nature it is wise to keep up to date with the latest release
as there are always security holes being found.
Unfortunately many distributions don't keep up to date with the latest
release.
Within Webmin there is a self updater so you only have to run through
the installation once, after that you can check for and install updates
via the Web interface.
