Considering the cost of the crappy ear buds in the great scheme of things 
(naff all compared to the unit itself) and the fact theres no vendor 
lock-in (very easy to retrofit better ones) - and the likely stink from 
people who 'buy their new player and want to hear it NOW and dont want to 
have to go spend more money on earphones' I dunno, nice anology but not 
quite the same when you consider the dollars involved in a potential 
OS-tax.
