Nobody told me off last time I sent through a job posting, hopefully
it doesn't offend anyone this time around either. :-)

Weta is currently looking to hire for several different positions.
If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be, please send

SYSTEM OPERATIONS MANGER:

Weta Digital is seeking an Systems Operations Manager. The individual
will be responsible for duties including direct responsibility for
the performance management of the Systems and Support Engineers,
systems design and implementation, budget and asset management, and
vendor engagement. Applicants should possess strong management/
leadership skills, excellent technical, communication and
organization skills as well as the ability to learn quickly and adapt
to a complex and changing environment.

DBA ROLE:

Weta Digital is a world class visual effects facility, and provides a
fast paced and challenging environment. We are currently looking for
an experienced DBA to join our Production Engineering team in
Wellington. Applicants must have MySQL, Perl and Python experience,
and knowledge of PostgreSQL and Filemaker is desirable. Strong
relationship building skills and the ability to communicate
effectively are essential, and you should have the ability to
identify, understand and respond effectively to production
requirements and think strategically.

PROD ENGINEERING ROLES:

Weta Digital is a world class visual effects facility, and provides a
fast paced and challenging environment. We are currently looking for
senior and intermediate Production Engineers to work on several
exciting projects at the core of our production pipeline. Applicants
for the senior role should have a minimum of five years of
development experience including two years in the film industry,
while the intermediate engineer role requires at least three years of
development experience. All applicants should be able to develop in
either Perl or Python as well as C++, and experience in other
languages, especially in a Linux environment, would be advantageous.
Strong relationship building skills and the ability to communicate
effectively are essential, and you should have the ability to
identify, understand and respond effectively to production
requirements and think strategically.
