I had an earlier version going under dapper on my infamous laptop
(Acer Aspire 3003 LC - 1.8GHz - 256Mb - and no DRI)
Lack of DRI makes the motion a bit jerky. But it's quite useable.

The latest version under edgy is much worse - but it goes.
It seems to insist on updating the display even when nothing is
happening. I'll probably have to go turn off a lot of things in the
config.
