[nzlug] bluetooth device under linux

hi:

i have bluetooth barcode scaner and a bluebooth dangle.

my linux kernel is 2.6.x and i have installed bluez stack on my linux laptop.

after insert the usb dangle into my laptop, the dangle was recognized.

i issued command   hcitool scan,
it gave me following output:

Scanning ...
        00:D0:17:96:0D:0A       AF6003082

so that address is address of my barcode scanner.
then i issued command "l2ping 00:D0:17:96:0D:0A"
it gave me following output:

Ping: 00:D0:17:96:0D:0A from 00:10:60:31:98:01 (data size 20) ...
no response from 00:D0:17:96:0D:0A: id 200

so , any one know what wrong with my bluetooth device/configuration?
