It might be sufficient to read your meter over a period of time with the PC 
turned on.  If you can arrange to either have no other items in your house 
running, or establish a baseline of what your other items use and subtract 
that from the total with the PC turned on.  The thing to watch out for is 
intermittent loads like the fridge turning on and off during the test.
